Sara Brody is an MFA candidate at San Francisco State University and a Pushcart Prize nominee. Her fiction has appeared or is slated to appear in Narrative Magazine, Fourteen Hills, Barnstorm, Reservoir, the Adroit Journal, and elsewhere. This poem is one of her first, and she hopes to write more. She is working on a novel.
